BET Soultrain Music Awards

The 40th Annual BET Soul Train Music Awards was on November 27, 2011 held at the Atlanta's Fox Theatre. The show was hosted by the ever so funny, Cedric the Entertainer.
Let's take a look at the Winners, Performers, and Tributes

2011 Soul Train Male Award Winners:

Best New Artist: Miguel
                        
The attractive singer is known for his writing skills and his great vocals.

Album of the Year: Chris Brown
Chris Brown won Album of the Year for his latest album F.A.M.E., releasing 8 successful singles! I actually bought that CD myself. Yep that's right, I said bought not burned!

Best Male R&B/Soul Artist: Cee-Lo Green

This superdelic funk musician is know for stretching the artistic boundaries. He performed barefoot in a flowing 70's style white fringed get-up.

He also performed "Fool for You" with the beautiful Melanie Fiona.





Live Male Performers:
Robin Thicke performed his single "Love After War"

The young hot R&B group, Mindless Behavior performs "Girls Talkin' Bout" and "Mrs. Right"

Common performs his single, "Blue Sky"

Miguel performed his smash hit "Girls Like You." 

Lloyd brought back the 1960's when he performed his single, "Dedication to my Ex"

Heavy D Tribute:
Many performers honored the late Heavy D who recently passed on November 8, 2011.
Performers included Dougie Fresh, Goody Mob, Naughty by Nature, Whodini, Big Daddy Kane & Kurtis Blow
B.E.T showed a recap video of Heavy D winning his last Soul Train Award back in 1991.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Earth, Wind & Fire
 Today's hottest R&B artists Robin Thicke, Joe, and Eric Benet honored Earth Wind & Fire by performing "Reasons

Earth, Wind, & Fire closed out the show performing "Let's Groove"
